Scholarship and Grant Opportunities
Andrew Putnam Scholarship
Established by the Washington Golf Foundation in partnership with Tacoma-born PGA TOUR pro Andrew Putnam, this scholarship reflects Andrew’s deep-rooted connection to Washington State and his commitment to growing the game. A former WA Golf Men’s Player of the Year and winner of the 2010 Pacific Coast Amateur, Andrew turned professional in 2011 and has since claimed three professional victories, including the 2018 PGA TOUR’s Barracuda Championship.
The scholarship offers financial support to a standout junior competitive player from Washington who demonstrates not only golf talent and financial need but also strong character and community engagement. Andrew personally sees this as paying forward the opportunities he received through WA Golf and the Washington Junior Golf Association during his junior career.
Andrew continues to remain actively involved in Washington’s youth golf scene. He recently joined the Washington Golf Foundation board to help grow access and opportunities for young players across the state. This scholarship embodies Andrew Putnam’s journey from Tacoma junior standout to PGA TOUR winner—creating a legacy across character, competitiveness, and the shared dream of golfers from Washington State.
